Answers to frequently asked questions related to our plant sale :
1. Were open Friday April 24th - Monday April 27th from 9am-2pm.
2. There are 4 main varieties of Southern Highbush blueberry plants in the field. Those are emerald, sapphire, millennial, and jewel.
3. The plants range in age from approximately 2 years old to 7-8 years old. The majority being in the 7 to 8 year old range.
4. The plants range in size from 3' - 7' tall. Most being between 4' and 5'.
5. This is 100% self service. So bring a shovel and dig up your plant. We **may** have a tractor that **may or may not** be available to help depending on demand, but that's not guaranteed.
6. There are approximately 5,000 mature plants in the field.
7. We have approximately 250 15 gallon pots for use. 1st come 1st serve.
8. We have pine bark mulch (the soil the plants should be grown in) to go with the pots we have available. You can bring your own pots (15 gallon or bigger is required) to put plants in, but if you would like pink bark mulch it's still $10 per plant.
9. There are lots of ants in the field so plan accordingly.
10. Social distancing is required. If you feel sick please stay home.
11. Cash only.
12. Plants on open trailers or in the beds of trucks will need a cover of some kind (tarp) to protect them from the wind driving home.
13. It is best to have a minimum of 4 blueberry bushes for pollination purposes.
14. Yes we are selling all the irrigation equipment following the plant sale.
15. There will be no reservations this is 100% 1st come , 1st serve.
16. Generally the plants do not grow in dirt, but rather fine pine bark mulch.
