Free ice cream, free raffle, free music, free fun!
The Town of Caroline Agriculture Committee invites the public to join them on Sunday, August 11th, from noon to 4 pm, for a Farm Festival at the Brooktondale Community Center.
Come meet farmers and neighbors engaged in Ag activities and see the freshly completed "Town of Caroline Ag and Farmland Protection Plan."
Bring the family! There will be live music all afternoon. The bluegrass band Ovenbird will play from noon to 1:30, and the Diana Leigh Quartet will play swing dance music from 2 to 4 pm. Dance, watch, listen, or play on the playground while also enjoying:
* great food from Juicy's Shanty Food Truck
* free Purity ice cream while supplies last
* door prizes/ raffle of farm products and experiences
* vendors, exhibits, and more!
Meet local farmers of all sizes and see what they are producing, whether its 50 jars of honey or 1000 pounds of sunflower seed. (Note: many of the farmers will only be present from noon until 2 pm)
Several elected officials will address the public during a press event at 1:30 pm.
The entire day is free and open to the public, thanks to a Celebrations Grant from the Tompkins County Tourism Program.
