Farming transportation logistics reminds me of this guy 😂
Moving all the equipment from field to field stresses me out.
Especially when you have multiple pieces.

Another beautiful day harvesting soybeans and planting wheat!
Thankful again for all the help to move us along this farming year.
As always, thank your local farmers 🫶🏻

Broken equipment.
It’s going to happen and it’s never fun.
Thankful for all the knowledge and resources amongst our team at TD Steck Farms.
Makes times like these a little easier.
Thankful for the work the crew put in last night to be up and running today.

As always - be sure to thank your local farmers 🫶🏻

TD Steck Farms is more than just Tom and David.

Randy, Tom’s brother-in-law, and Roger, Tom’s cousin, are two individuals we can’t thank enough for all their help year after year.
From driving grain to the elevator, running the tractor and the drill, to harvesting in the combine - give them a job, and they’ll get it done.
We couldn’t be more thankful for the family that makes TD Steck Farms what it is.

Thank you, Randy and Roger for all you do! 🚜💚

Beautiful evening on the farm 🚜 🌅

Beautiful evening on the farm 🚜 🌅

You know it was a long day when your view in the tractor started and ended the same way 😂🚜🫣
Long 16+ hour days in the tractor cab are tough, but worth it. Especially when you’re wanting to get wheat drilled in the ground before the rain this morning.
So, as always - be sure to thank your local farmers. And, maybe offer them a cup of coffee . . Or two 😉 ☕️

⭐️ THROWBACK THURSDAY ⭐️
We’ve shared this one before but it’s too good not to share again!
This photo we’re estimating was taken in the mid 80’s.
Marion Steck, 2nd generation farmer and father to Tom, posing with his L3 Gleaner during harvest.
We are honored to carry on Marion’s legacy and continue Steck Family Farms, four generations strong.

Harvest is in full swing!
Let’s take a minute to refresh ourselves on sharing the roadways with our farmers 🚜
1️⃣ Think about where you are. Recognize that you might be in an agricultural environment where you might encounter a large amount of these types of vehicles.
2️⃣ Slow down. Farm vehicles often travel at slow speeds. To reduce the risk of a collision, begin braking when you see the slow-moving vehicle emblem. Also, stay a safe distance back — around 50 feet.
3️⃣ Pass carefully. Take the standard precautions: Wait for a safe passing zone, watch for oncoming traffic, signal and return to the lane once the vehicle is in your rearview mirror. If the vehicle is extra-wide, wait to pass until the driver pulls over and signals that it’s safe. Honk your horn beforehand in case the driver can’t see you.
4️⃣ Yield. Give a wide farm vehicle the right-of-way when it’s traveling the opposite direction. Farm vehicles can’t always pull over to the road’s shoulder safely. If possible, pull onto the shoulder or into a turn-out to allow the farm vehicle to pass.
5️⃣ Be patient. A driver may appear to be pulling to the right to let you pass when he or she is actually making a wide left-hand turn. Before speeding past, look for driveways, roads or fields where the vehicle might be entering. Also check for hand gestures or lights signaling the driver’s intention to turn.
6️⃣ Know the basics. Following the speed limit and wearing your safety belt is just as important in the country as it is on city streets.
7️⃣ Take a second look. Before you pull into an intersection or make a move to pass, be sure your path is clear in all directions. Farm vehicles could enter the roadway from unmarked access drives on their fields.
8️⃣ Please be patient 🙂
⭐️ Everyone, please be safe on the roads! Lots of farm equipment and slow moving vehicles will be on the roads this time of year! ⭐️
Thank you and don’t forget to thank/support your local farmers 🚜
