Thanksgiving Turkeys On Sale Now!

The turkeys are raised on organic pasture and fed Non-GMO grain. They are in a large field that has both grass and woods to forage. The deposit secures your turkey for pickup the week of Thanksgiving. They are processed, ready to cook and fresh, never frozen!

We have a half of a side of beef available. You may purchase the entire half or quarter. The beef will be vacuum sealed and can be custom cut if reserved before the end of the year.

Anyone who would like a Patuxent Harvest Thanksgiving Turkey may call Chesapeake's Bounty ( https://chesapeakesbounty.com/ ). If you scroll to the bottom of their webpage you can pick a store location that is closest to you for pickup. Last time I checked they still have some to reserve.

Thank you to everyone who supported us this year and reserved a Thanksgiving Turkey! Pickup starts the Saturday before Thanksgiving (November 19th). I look forward to seeing everyone this year, Gobble Gobble!

I wanted to update everyone on Jethro with a video from last night. I have seen this fox every night near our gate which is almost a half mile from this camera. The fox is on video at the gate about 5 minutes before catching this interaction with the newly placed camera. If you listen closely, Jethro barks a few times just as the fox turns and trots off. For reference, the turkeys are roosted about 20 feet from the fox as he stopped and looked. Good boy Jethro!!!!

I’d like to welcome a new working member to the family, Jethro! He joined the farm this past Tuesday and went right to work guarding our turkeys. The previous Saturday we had a coyote hanging around trying to figure out how to get in with the turkeys. I’m guessing he just wanted to snuggle up with them but Dana thinks differently, so we decided to take the step and get an LGD for the farm.

Jethro is the name he came with and he is a Karakachan ( http://www.karakachanusa.org/ ). We didn’t know much about the breed but after learning more about him from his trainer Jared ( https://m.facebook.com/khansgambit/ ), we decided he’d be a good fit. Jethro has settled right in and is enjoying his new life! Thank you to all who support us and we look forward to seeing you when you pickup your turkeys for Thanksgiving.
