Mission:
It is the goal of Creation Bound to foster stronger relationships with our heavenly Father through developing a deeper awareness of and connection to His creation. God as our heavenly father, Christ as our savior, and the power of Holy spirit is the over riding truth we strive to present in all of our programing. Through the skills, crafts, and technologies of ancient primitive cultures
to those of the early pioneers and even more modern technologies of homesteading today we work to bring others a deeper awareness and more intimate experience with creation than most people ever experience in our modern age, and ultimately a deeper appreciation, love, and faith in the One who created it for us. At the age of 8 he was able to make his own bows and arrows strong enough to take small game. From the time he was 14 years old till he was 17 he spent nearly every night and most days living outdoors with his horses on his families farm in West Virginia. One year during this time he only spent what amounted to two weeks of nights sleeping indoors. He has attended classes, workshops, and events geared to the practice of primitive skills, outdoor living, and homesteading throughout his adult life. He holds a certificate of Adventure Sports from Garrett College in western Maryland. He has taught and worked at summer camps, schools, churches, and programs for ask risk teens. He has lived and worked in most of the lower 48 states and has been on many outdoor adventures, including a 400 mile trip on horseback through the Senora Desert of Arizona. For the past several years He has settled down in Western Maine in the foothills of the White Mountains to begin homesteading, raising his family with his wife Stephanie, and directing and developing Creation Bound. Location:
Creation Bound is located on the homestead of Jason and Stephanie Blakeney. The homestead is situated on over 100 acres in the foothills of the White Mountains of Maine and New Hampshire. It contains a variety of landscapes and environments providing a fantastic location to learn and practice the skills and crafts taught at Creation Bound. The homestead the land and improvements are all quite primitive and rustic. Do not expect much in the way of modern plumbing, electricity, or other modern conveniences while visiting this unique and inspiring school.
