About Us

Our Family:
Our family includes Bob, Michelle, Casey, Jenna, and Cory Scanlan. We are very active in the community and participate in sports, Houston County Cattlemen's Association, church, 4-H, FFA, youth cattle shows, volunteering, band, and hunting among others. Our Livestock:
Our cattle are fed a balanced ration that includes corn, hay, protein, vitamins, and mineral supplements. We

pride ourselves in providing the most comfortable low stress environment possible for our cattle. This includes excellent ventilation, dry bedding, exposure to sunshine in the winter, shade in the summer, and plenty of clean fresh water and nutritious feed. We vaccinate our calves at a young age to reduce stress throughout their lives. Low stress, good nutrition, and a comfortable environment are crucial to producing a tasty, nutritious, safe, and healthy beef product. Our Products:
We provide quality beef products from our home-raised calves born right at our farm year-round, as well as sourced dairy beef calves from local farms. Our beef products are a healthy source of protein, iron, zinc, vitamin A, and other micro nutrients.

How much better could this industry be if more people remembered what this was really supposed to be about?

Because yes, we all want to win.
We want the banners.
The buckles.
The backdrop pictures.
The validation that the hard work paid off.

But at the end of the day, the greatest thing this industry produces was never meant to be livestock.

It’s people.

Young people who learn responsibility before most adults do.
Who learn how to lose gracefully.
How to work when they’re tired.
How to care for something besides themselves.
How to shake hands.
How to be humble.
How to keep showing up.

And the truth is, if we sacrifice those things in the pursuit of winning… then we missed the point completely.

The best stock show families aren’t just building champions in the ring. They’re building good humans outside of it too. 💙
