Volume clear up you can hear the hum of bees. First good day to pollinate. Strange weather this winter and spring. Warm then cold then warm then well below freezing with buds out. All the species out working.

The season is over except for a few black twig apples. If you want to try this winter apple let me know. Tree run only. They are a storage apple. Not a lot of flavor off the tree. Need to mellow in storage. They were used to put in caves over winter.

About out of apples. Please contact me here about what you may need. Some Jonathan #2, a few golden delicious, a few red delicious, and a few jonagold. Down to about 9 bushel total. I still have black twig to pick, but they are a winter apple. It will be weeks yet. Need a frost. A faster year than normal.

I finished picking Jonathan, jonagold, empire and red delicious this week. I still have some golden delicious to pick and red Cameo will be ready soon. This weekend i have Jonathan, jonagold, Goldens, reds, and empire. Chris is busy with the flea market so I won't be picking during the weekend. Drop by for fresh sales. I'll be here.

Been waiting to try to get some varieties to sell to be officially open. I have some Jonathan and jonagold. Cool weather is nice to add color but slow to get water out from 5 inches of rain. 🙃 always a challenge. I think the next week will bring in more supply fairly steadily.

This season my honey crisp were affected by lenticel disease. Honey crisp and Gala are very susceptible to this after a dry period then a wet period. The breathing pores enlarge too fast and open up which allows rot. This really hit this variety. All the others look great. I posted a write up about this. Kind of sad. It looked like stink bug but I never saw any. Research found this cause. The link above goes to an article.

Ok, it's been awhile since a post. It's the start of the 2025 fall season. We will be open soon. Had a rough start here. My wife had surgery and I had a ladder accident. My leg neck and a concussion. Not the way i wanted to start the season. I had people asking about honey crisp. Not a big crop and most were pre-ordered. I need to see were in at before accepting more orders on those. It's busy out here. Our kids are remodeling their house so expect some construction trucks. It will be great when we have all the kids out here to help with apples.
I hope to have a variety ready after labor day. Cool nights are helping and for the most part they are good in quality and size. I'll be posting soon that we are rolling along.

Pollinating crab apple is going crazy. I have all kinds of bees on it. Native bees to honey bees. And a beautiful odor.
