We are incredibly fortunate to call Brett Ranch our "home away from home". We are avid hunters and Longhorn enthusiasts. We have owned the Ranch since 1998 and the original purpose of the ranch was to provide a sanctuary to grow extremely large whitetail deer. We are making progress on that quest! We started breeding Longhorns in early 2009 and have fallen in love with them. They provide additiona

l scenery to the beautiful country side and are so fun! The history, mystique, intelligence and independence of the breed is astonishing. We are building an elite breeding program based on the genetics of WS Jamakizm, Wi******er, Superbowl, and Shadowizm. Growing big deer and big longhorns have a lot in common so I am looking forward to seeing what we can do! The ranch consists of roughly 800 acres of ideal whitetail habitat. Oak trees, Pecan trees, Mesquites, Shin Oaks, many varieties of shrubs, briars and forbs combined with multiple food plots provide the deer with everything they desire. The topography of the ranch has over 300 feet of elevation changes....which all make for an incredible challenge to find the trophy whitetail on their "turf". Thanks again for stopping by!

That kind of day……actually makes me smile that they are smart enough to get out of the wind. I had these loafing sheds built and they don’t use them much but when they do it makes me glad I did! 12 degrees with windchills in the below zero’s or over 110 in the heat. Usually only the extremes. The trough heaters work like a champ…..and showed one that didn’t have one to see the difference.
