Are yall saving your egg shells?? 🥚🐣
You should be !!! They are full of lots of helpful minerals for your garden 🪴 or to give back to your chickens 🐓
It’s simple too. Use your eggs as normal, when you get a few shells throw them in the oven and bake for a 45 minutes to an hour, grind them up nice and small .
To use on your garden sprinkle the dust/shells over the soil and water it in just a little. This adds calcium back into the soil, along with other trace minerals, while also works as a pest barrier.
If using for chickens make sure they are very small and crushed so the chickens don’t start eating their own eggs. Just mix into their feed. This provides calcium to the chickens and helps produce strong new eggs and keep their own bones strong and healthy !
Next time you cook with eggs make sure to save the shells your garden and chickens will thank you later🫶
