It’s Meet the Farm Friday! And today we want to introduce you to Della. For this one, we are including Della’s baby picture as well because it is a favorite. 😂

Meet Della, the original hometown girl. She is Ida’s first calf. First to be bred, born, and raised right here on the farm, which in her opinion makes her both local royalty and management. She didn’t just grow up here — she owns the place. Or at least she strongly believes she does.

Della is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet… as long as you remember your role in the relationship: staff. Humans exist primarily to provide snacks, scratches, admiration, and the occasional spa treatment. Failure to comply will result in loud commentary.

And loud she is.

Della is opinionated, expressive, and not afraid to share feedback. She has a lot to say about feed schedules, grooming standards, and whether the paparazzi (a.k.a. people with phones) are getting her good side.

In the show ring, however, she transforms.

The chatter quiets.
The head lifts.
The strut begins.

Della glides in like she’s been practicing for this moment her entire life — because, frankly, she has. She knows exactly when to turn on the charm, flash the look, and remind everyone that main character energy runs in her bloodline.

She sees everything.
She knows everything.
But she plays it cool until the moment is right.

Then suddenly… boom. Spotlight.

Sweet. Strategic. Slightly dramatic.
Just the way a proper farm-born queen should be. 👑🐄

This!! While we love our Gloria, she is hands down, 100% the worst mother there ever was!!

It’s Meet the Farm Friday, and we are continuing with another of our Jersey girls.

Sweet Rose
Founder. Princess. Slightly nervous celebrity. 🐄✨

Meet Rose, the original hometown girl and the very first dairy cow ever born on this farm. That’s right—before there was a herd, there was Rose, blinking into the world like, “Excuse me, is this entire operation for me?”

She’s sweet as can be, a little shy, and about 87% eyelashes and feelings. Loud noises? Suspicious. Sudden movements? Absolutely not. Cameras and a polished show halter? Now we’re talking.

Rose may be timid, but the moment she steps into the show ring she remembers she is, in fact, agricultural royalty. She walks in like a soft-spoken pageant queen who didn’t ask for fame but will gracefully accept it anyway.

Her hobbies include:
• Practicing her “gentle Jersey gaze”
• Perfecting the “Jersey flop”
• Quietly judging the other cows from a respectful distance
• Being historically important for simply existing first
• Living her best show-cow life while pretending she didn’t notice the crowd

Around the farm, Rose holds a very prestigious title: First Born Calf. Without her, this dairy operation may have never started. She was the first to say “born and raised here.” She paved the way… mostly by being adorable and slightly nervous about everything.

Sweet, shy, and just a little fancy, Rose is proof that you don’t have to be loud to be legendary. 🌹🐄

It’s Meet the Farm Friday. And we have decided to feature our Jersey named Pearl. This picture is of her a few years ago during her show career, but it is definitely one of my favorites. 😊❤️

Pearl

Pearl did not wake up today to meet your expectations.
Or yesterday’s.
Or tomorrow’s.

She operates on Pearl Standard Time, which means she’ll move when she’s ready, pose when it benefits her, and absolutely ignore you if your vibe is off.

Rules? Suggestions.
Show ring etiquette? Optional.
Your opinion? Unread.

Pearl has exactly one soft spot in this world, and it belongs exclusively to her human. If you are not that human, please take a number, have a seat, and understand that your request will be reviewed and promptly denied.

Clipping? Only if she approves the lighting.
Leading? She’ll consider it only if her human asks.
Standing still? That depends on her mood and the alignment of the stars.

She doesn’t throw tantrums.
She simply… declines participation.

Pearl believes in three things:
1. Personal boundaries.
2. Selective hearing.
3. Devotion to her chosen person and absolutely no one else.

If you try to tell her what to do, she will stare into your soul, chew thoughtfully, and proceed to do the exact opposite — but gracefully.

She’s not difficult.
She’s discerning.

And if you’re lucky enough to be her human? Congratulations. You’ve been chosen. Everyone else is just background noise.

👑 Pearl: zero apologies, zero compliance, zero extra affection.

Due to the weather conditions, and several wrecks on the interstate, we have decided to postpone milk deliveries for Cheat Lake until tomorrow for everyone’s safety. Delivery will now be on TUESDAY from 5:00-5:30pm in the upper parking lot at the church (same time and place, just different day). We apologize for any inconvenience.

It’s Meet the Farm Friday! Today’s feature is one and only Brown Swiss milking girl.❤️

Meet Sugar 🍯🐄
Full-time cow. Part-time thinker.

Sugar moves at the speed of “we’ll get there when we get there.” She is deeply committed to a stress-free lifestyle, which is impressive considering she has exactly one brain cell—and frankly, it clocks out early most days.

You’ll often find her standing in the pasture, staring into the middle distance like she’s solving life’s greatest mysteries. She is not. She is buffering.

Drama? Never heard of her. Urgency? Absolutely not. Running? Only if the grain bucket personally offends her.

Sugar believes in three things:
1. Slow chewing.
2. Long blinks.
3. Letting someone else figure it out.

If there’s chaos in the barn, she will simply continue existing. If there’s a fence down, she will not be the one investigating. If there’s a thought happening, it’s taking the scenic route.

Sweet by name, sweet by nature, and powered entirely by vibes and grass.

The best Valentine’s gift is definitely a calf. 😊❤️While we are not excited about how she became a bottle calf, we are excited to have her in the barn where she is safe and sound. Please welcome Rita to the herd. She is tiny but strong and definitely full of vinegar. 😳She is going to be a fun one.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

I apologize for any inconvenience, but due to some prior commitments, we will not be able to do a milk pick up in Cheat Lake today (Saturday).

It’s Meet the Farm Friday!

Ida is giving quiet legend energy, so let’s honor that today!😌🐄
Ida is small but mighty. She maybe a retired show cow, but she is a current overachiever.

Don’t let the compact frame fool you—she is the top producer around here and does it without raising her voice or starting a single rumor. She’s already worn the ribbons, walked the ring, and proven her point. Now she’s just here to work, eat, and mind her own business.

She loves her human, tolerates most others, and has zero interest in barn drama. If it doesn’t involve feed, comfort, or efficiency, please see yourself out.

She is calm, consistent, and in her opinion, she carries the whole operation on her small but capable back!

Ida - she’s producing more milk than your favorites and doing it quietly.

Due to weather, there will not be a milk delivery/pick up in Cheat Lake today. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

It’s time for another edition of Meet the Farm Friday!!!
Next up we have Jan.

Jan is a big girl who doesnt want any problems, any expectations, any extra responsibilities, or any follow-up questions. She is here to do a job - not a good one, not a memorable one - just enough that no one sends a follow up email.
Jan blends seamlessly into the background and specializes in strategic invisibility, selective competence, and surviving on vibes alone.
She avoids conflict, initiative, and eye contact with management. If something gets done correctly, it was an accident.
Jan’s true talents include looking busy, nodding convincingly, and surviving entire workdays without being assigned anything new.
Please do not ask her to circle back. Jan is tired. Jan is blending. Jan is not your solution, but we still love her. ❤️🐄

Due to the weather, we had another mechanical issue that has caused our production to be down. For this reason, we will not have extra milk for sale at Cheat Lake today. Again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience, this is not a post we were wanting to make again today. 😢
