When it feels like the world is coming at you from every direction, sometimes you just have to stop, take a breath, and cook. ❤️
For me, cooking has always been how I work through life’s challenges. It’s where I find a little peace, get creative, and turn something simple into something good.
We’ve talked before about how we believe in repurposing produce rather than letting good food go to waste. And last night, after getting home late from work, that’s exactly what I did.
I made a big ol’ pot of sausage jambalaya, loaded with beautiful yellow heirloom tomatoes, fresh okra, onions, Wainright’s pork link sausage, and some special spices from Greg’s Famous Hot Sauces. A whole lot of goodness brought together with a whole lot of love.
And this morning, that goodness became an opportunity to give back to our community at Manna House of Brunswick, Georgia.
A special thank-you to Zach Hunt at SourBrough sourdough who generously contributed some of his delicious pumpkin spice sourdough.
This is what it’s all about, guys. Farmers, bakers, makers, and neighbors coming together. Taking what we have, making something wonderful, and sharing it with the people around us.
We’re not just here to fill holes. We’re here to build community, support one another, and make sure the goodness keeps flowing.
Made with Love. Made to Share. ❤️
Let’s keep it going, y’all!
