Superman started in Cleveland. Your weekend starts here.

Before Superman became a worldwide business, he was an idea from two young men in Cleveland.

Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created the character who made his debut in Action Comics #1 in 1938. Their hometown has had a respectable claim on the cape business ever since.

So a superhero weekend in Northeast Ohio has some local credentials.

Mapleside’s 3-Day Superhero Weekend runs October 9–11, beginning Friday at noon. We’re inviting heroes of every age to come in costume and spend some time at the farm.

The assignment is straightforward: bring your family and friends, then see how much of Pumpkin Village’s more than 20 attractions you can fit into your visit.

An apple tradition. A giant Pumpkin Wall. One beautiful Sunday.

Apples have deep roots at Mapleside. Today, we’re giving them a proper celebration.

It’s the final day of the Johnny Appleseed Festival, with beautiful weather ahead, live bands, and Johnny Appleseed himself joining us on the farm.

Of course, the pumpkins deserve a little attention, too. We’ve built them an entire wall to make sure they get it.

The giant Pumpkin Wall is back up, filled with hundreds of pumpkins in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Gather your crew for a fall photo, then head into Pumpkin Village for more than 20 attractions.

Race down the 311-foot Super Slide. Find your way through the corn maze. Take a hayride through the orchard. Let the kids bounce on the giant jumping pillows.

Come celebrate the apples, the pumpkins, and the farm that brings it all together.

Johnny Appleseed Festival ends today at 6pm. There’s still a whole Sunday to make the most of it.
