CSA week 12! These days the behind-the-scenes shots are speaking to me more. We’re technically on week 13, but I took both of the pics today. I turned 34 this week. Change is inevitable; I guess that’s why I’m okay with the evolution of these veg photos. Rain, on the other hand, seems to be evitable. We’d really like that to change! Oh and my brother, Oliver, is here helping :)

last week we had tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, shish*tos, parsley or cilantro, summer squash, scallions, tropea onions, poblano peppers, sweet peppers, napa cabbage, basil, lettuce, green beans, rosemary, and cantaloupe!

We’ve set tables in so many gorgeous spots these past two summers!

Our plant-based Verdure Dinner this Saturday, the last of the season, is sold out! We can’t wait to host you all on the farm for an unforgettable evening with chef, Ansel Mallonee, showcasing all our freshly-harvested (and hard-earned!) veg.

Week 11! The one where we (with Ansel Mallonee) hosted a dinner for some MOFGA community, and harvested lots of heavy things! Swipe to see a little combo vole home/snack 🙄 if only we could all eat ourselves a cozy little shelter.

This week we had watermelon!! And also eggplant, carrots, lettuce, dill, parsley, tomatoes, cherry toms, zucchini, cukes, shish*tos, basil, onions, shallots, and the season’s first sweet peppers!

Week 10! Am I late on week 10? Yes! Did I get bored of making circles with the veg? Yes! We’re at the halfway point, folks. This week I also ran over my water bottle. Also the clutch pedal broke on the red truck, but an amazing csa member came and fixed it! We also had a pretty little spider web on a nest box. Swipe to see —>

Eggplant, red onions, tropea onions, fennel, beets, tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, cukes, summer squash, basil, beans, and scallions made it into the share!

Week 9! The one where there was an amazing double rainbow over the farm, we got the last planting of beets in (iykyk) and saw this ghostly orchid spider!

This week summer really hit! We had eggplant, zucchini and summer squash, cukes, onions, dill, cilantro, parsley, basil, kale, butterhead lettuce (!!), shish*tos, hot peppers/poblanos, green beans, and the season’s first tomatoes!

We said goodbye to Charlie this week, as they are headed back to college soon 😭 Charlie has been a wonderful part of the team these past two summers and we will miss them! Their special talents include bug squishing, planting tedious crops, bunching veg, snuggling Oyster, painting, harvesting carrots, and always being caring and thoughtful. I’m so grateful that this farm attracts such great people!

Oyster and I celebrated three years together this week! I couldn’t ask for a better buddy. He has been my rock through some challenging times. I show gratitude with a steady supply of snap peas. Oyster can also be found hunting voles under farm tarps, making a nest in freshly planted beets, jumping up to lick your face, and melting your heart with the sweetest two-tone puppy eyes. Love this catahoula/cur/pit-mix so much 🥹
