🇺🇸 NORTH CAROLINA
GOOD NEWS:
The Morehead festival went out of its way to allow visitors to enjoy American wild-caught shrimp, even promoting local shrimp wherever it was served.
BAD NEWS:
Many restaurants on the Crystal Coast were found to be selling imported shrimp as local, taking advantage of the very communities that depend on the sh*****ng industry.
GOOD NEWS:
Some restaurants were tested and found to be serving American wild-caught shrimp, while many others used this opportunity to promote their commitment to serving it.
GOOD NEWS:
Legislators are now using these results to promote legislation in the upcoming legislative session.
🇺🇸 FLORIDA
BAD NEWS:
Florida is the only sh*****ng state left that seems to have no legislative interest in passing laws to protect diners and the industry from rampant, deliberate mislabeling.

Starting now, how many days will it take for the state of Florida to show that it actually cares about protecting its consumers, its seafood industry, and its sh*****ng communities?
