Update 6/18/26 - Seeing a little color, but notice those in the back are still green. The trees have alot of work to do yet.
Still GUESSING around 3rd week of July. (Give or take).

Blossom update:🌸 Our orchard is close to full bloom.🌸 With having so many varieties of sweet cherries, im seeing blossoms at different stages...some are fully in their glory, some are just about ready to drop and a few are still getting ready to pop. The orchard doesn't "look" as white as in years past. Because of the cooler temps, it seems the leaves are emerging faster than the blossoms making more green mixed in with the white.

If the old rule of 60 days after full bloom applies, we are looking at mid-july for season opener. Time will tell.... and weather of course 😉

Another blossom update... 🌸 We saw some blossoms pop earlier this week, but this cold weather has them in slow motion. I feel like a broken record, but once we get some warmth and sun, things will move quickly. 🍒🌸They sure are beautiful. 🌸🍒

Bud Update: 🌸
The cool weather has things moving slow, however I can see a little white pushing out the tips here and there. If we can get some sun and a little more warmth, things will start to progress. Ill continue to update in a few more days.

We've got beautiful buds.🍒.. Even better news is we have officially FINISHED pruning and picking up all the sticks. Ugh.. I hate that job.🌿

We recieved a special treat from one of our customers today. Check out this beauty. I almost thought it was fake because it was so perfect. Its the winning pie recipe from the famous Door County Cherry Pie Christmas movie....and let me tell you, it tastes as good as it looks. This proves Sweet Cherries can make great pies, just reduce the sugar. Its a Win Win!🥧

🍒Plan on an extra pail of sweets for your freezer this season. You're gonna want to make this for every occasion and Sunday dinners in between.

While cherry season is fresh in our minds, I wanted to reach out to my customers for some helpful leads for future seasons. This season we seemed to have an abundance of cherries.. although that's a good problem to have, sometimes we could use a little help cleaning up the trees after our PYO season ends. If anyone knows a farm market, or bakery, or homestead community that would be willing to bring in pickers and clean up the remaining cherries at a discounted price, please have them DM or call me.
