Forgot to post these yesterday! Jolene (Jojo) surprised us all with 2 Big (little) girls! I was convinced that Jojo was going to hold out until my surgery on Monday so that no one would be home if she needed assistance, but in true Jojo fashion she didn’t need help anyway and gave birth during the thunderstorm. ⛈️

Cue the “I did it my way…” by Frank Sinatra. That’s a wrap on babies for the next few years at least. Our two rams are getting banded in 2 weeks. Shhh 🤫 don’t tell them.

A little boy and a little girl today from Patsy Kline ❤️ just waiting on Jolene (aka dammit jojo) and we will be wrapping up lambing for the final time (at least for a while). Definitely bittersweet.

Tom convinced me to keep my OG crew because he knew my heart would break if I had 0 sheep. Dolly gifted us her last little babe today. After this Dolly will live out the rest of her life here as my baby, happily retired. Very bittersweet.

Good news— I am finally, after 13 long years getting a diagnosis and surgery to hopefully alleviate pain. This is what I need to focus on.

BUT the Bad news— having to put my farm dreams on hold and selling off all of my babies I have accumulated over the years. And putting all my hard work in the recycling bin for others to benefit off of.

Man this year has been really bad so far. I’m not a fan of 2026.

Sorry for the negativity just had to vent a little bit. I wish I just had one of those magic remotes to fast forward thru all of this crap and get to the good part.

This page is going to be awfully quiet for a while.

I make mine in an instant pot because our air fryer is too small for most of our hunky chickens! 🍗 I have sooo many chickens left this year, I’m dropping the price to $2.50 a pound, so let me know if you want any! I usually make 3-4 meals for Tom and I out of each chicken.
