Best. Staff. Outing. Ever! 🐾🍻
Last week, the crew traded the taproom for the pasture and hung out with some of the coolest locals in Aggieland at the Winnie Carter Wildlife Center, Texas A&M University
From sharing snacks with a very charismatic camel to getting some premium face-to-face time with a sloth, a capybara, a kangaroo, and a Patagonian mara, we had the absolute best time bonding with these incredible animals. Turns out, our team isn't just good at brewing fantastic beer—we’re pretty great at making animal best friends, too. 🦥🦘🐫
Huge shoutout to Dr. Fridley and the amazing team at Winnie Carter for hosting us, sharing their incredible knowledge, and letting us get up close and personal with their residents.
While the crew loved hanging out with the capybaras, sloths, and kangaroos, the real highlight was seeing the vital work being done at the Winnie Carter Wildlife Center.
🌿 Education meets Conservation
As part of the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, this incredible facility serves two major purposes:
Hands-on Education: It provides undergraduate and veterinary students with invaluable, real-world experience in exotic animal husbandry, wildlife management, and specialized medicine. 🩺
A True Sanctuary: It offers a permanent, safe forever-home to animals in need of specialized care and refuge.
Every animal here requires highly specific diets, custom enclosures, and specialized veterinary care to thrive. Because they do so much for our community and the next generation of animal caretakers, we want to help give back!
🤝 How We Can Support Them
Running a premier sanctuary and teaching lab takes immense resources. If you love wildlife as much as we do, consider supporting their mission!
Make a Online Donation: You can give directly through the Texas A&M Foundation Website.
Contribute Items: Want to send a physical gift? Check out the animals' direct Amazon wishlist to send food, enrichment toys, and supplies via the Winnie Carter Wildlife Center Wishlist.
