You know it’s going to be a rainy Florida Saturday, so hubby decides outside work is off the table. 🌧️😂

Instead, he turns on the oven and gets busy! 👨‍🍳

🍰 British coffee walnut cake
🥖 Hoagie rolls for deer-meat hamburgers
🧀 Sourdough discard cheese crackers
🍎 Fall apple strudel cake

And then… no rain. 😂

Not until 7:00 PM, when Florida finally decided to deliver—complete with a severe thunderstorm and flash flood advisory. ⛈️⚡🌧️🫣

So I guess hubby’s forecast was right… just several hours late! 🤣

A pretty good and productive Saturday at Wunderbar Farm. ❤️

🐥 Chick Update! 🐥
From the house ➡️ back porch ➡️ their very own coop! 🏡➡️🐔
They’re growing like crazy, eating everything in sight, and have officially graduated and settling nicely into big-kid chicken living! 😂🤍 They sure don’t stay little for long! 🐥🥹🐔
But the big question remains… how many roosters did we end up with?! 🤔😂🐓
Guess we’ll find out soon enough!

🎄 Special customer order 🎄
A little Christmas crochet magic is happening over here! ❤️💚🤍
17 Mickeys, handmade and ready for a special customer! 🐭✨
I’m not entirely sure what their final destination is yet—maybe ornaments, garland, decorations, or something completely different. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
But one thing I do know… they’re going to make something pretty festive! 🎄❤️💚
Thank you for supporting handmade! 🧶❤️

🧶 13 blankets from donated squares 🤍

What started with a beautiful donation of 7-inch granny squares turned into 13 baby remembrance blankets for Margaret's Memories!!
Every square was donated. Every blanket was joined together by hand. And every one was made with love for precious little ones who will never be forgotten. 🤍
13 blankets completed. Project officially finished! 🧶❤️✨

🐾 When you hear it through the grapevine… 🍇🧶
Sometimes you hear through the grapevine that a senior fellow could use a little extra protection for a boo-boo… so naturally, you grab some yarn and whip up a dachshund doggy hat. 🐶❤️
Then you get asked to make a second one for Christmas… so of course you tweak the design a little, add some fancy golden trim, he will be looking rather dapper. 🎄✨

And then your friend sees it and says, “Well… my girl needs one too!” 😂
And just like that, what started as “I'll make one to help out” has turned into a little collection of handmade doggy hats! 🐾🧶
All made by hand, with donated yarn and a whole lot of love. ❤️
I guess you never quite know where a little kindness—and a crochet hook—might lead you!
Wunderbar Farm: where we apparently sew for chickens, crochet for humans AND now dogs!! 😂🐔🐶🧶

Two different sizes, two different color combinations, one little handmade surprise. 🐾💜💙
Cat coasters made just because… because sometimes you see something cute, think of a cat-loving friend, and decide they need one. 😂🧶
No special occasion. No reason needed. Just a little handmade love from my hook to a friend. ❤️

🧶💕 A little crochet update…
The donated granny squares have been keeping my hook busy! They’re slowly becoming baby blankets for Margaret's Memories, made for families experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

The goal is 12 blankets — 6 are finished, and 6 more are still to go! 🩷🩵💚💜
I’m so thankful for the beautiful squares that were donated to me and the opportunity to give them a new purpose. One square, one stitch, and one blanket at a time. 🧶💕

That’s what happens when you watch "The Greatest British Baking Show"… 😂🇬🇧

You see something you’ve never tried, get curious, and suddenly someone is in the kitchen giving it a go!

Yesterday's curiosity: Homemade British Hobnobs! 🍪

Because around here, curiosity usually ends with hubby making something from scratch. And honestly… we’re not mad about it! 😋

Finally… the overdue jalapeño cheddar bread! 🌶️🧀🍞
Hubby put this beauty together, and apparently our 50-year-old sourdough starter was feeling extra ambitious—it doubled in size overnight in the fridge! 😳😂

Crispy crust, lots of cheddar, a little jalapeño kick… and SO worth the wait! 🤤❤️
