SUSPECTS: 17 hormone-crazed cats with absolutely no intention of practicing abstinence 😂🐈🐈⬛

Fleeing the Scene of Conception
Freeloading
Failure to Pay Kitten Support
REOFFENSE RISK: EXTREMELY HIGH
SENTENCE: Catstration ✂️ (spay/neuter), Vaccination 💉, and Permanent Revocation of Reproductive Privileges 🚫
Earlier this year, my husband (Donnie) and I (Christine) offered to TNR a small local colony of cats near Dowagiac, MI. This is something we do occasionally, pay for ourselves through Hidden Acres’ discounted spay/neuter program, and typically prefer to do privately. But, the clinic fills up fast and waitlists are long. In the meantime, cat math happened…and we’re asking for a little help with this one.
This kitty crime ring has been producing kittens at an alarming rate. 😂 What was believed to be a colony of six cats has somehow become SEVENTEEN.
Seventeen tiny, ungrateful criminals who need to be captured, detained safely at our house before and after surgery, transported to Hidden Acres to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated, then transported back to our house for recovery—which, with this many angry cats in traps and carriers, is less like transportation and more like organizing a prison transfer. 😂
For anyone unfamiliar, TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Return: community cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated, then returned to their colony. In other words, we catch them, revoke their reproductive privileges, and put them back where we found them. They can then live happier, healthier lives without endless litters of kittens being born outside and ultimately suffering.
We also personally treat every cat with Revolution for fleas, ear mites, and worms at our own expense.
Through Hidden Acres Safe Haven’s discounted spay/neuter program in Dowagiac, spay/neuter surgery plus rabies and distemper (FVRCP) vaccinations costs $77 per cat.
We’ve also noticed that a couple of these cats appear to be sick, and we’ll make sure they receive any additional veterinary care they need. Donations will first go toward getting all 17 cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated, as well as any necessary veterinary care for sick cats within this colony. Any funds remaining after their needs are met will be donated to Hidden Acres to help with the many critically ill and injured animals in their care.
