Pinot Meunier in quiet, springful anticipation. Usually the first to break bud but the buds are still closed. Slight frost last night hopefully my local peach farmers did OK. Far background is the Gewurtztraminer which is still snoozing away as are the rest of the vines. Apple in Bud stage, cherries in blossom stage. A great morning to be alive

And let the Grapes begin..........Pinot Meunier is being picked today followed closely, rumor has it, by Gewurztraminer. Anytime our unfortunate neighbors in the south experience a hurricane, the weather at Fox Hollow Vineyards stalls with excellent ripening and harvesting conditions. Looks to be a little lean this year tonnage wise due to the past winter cold snap and an April frost but the quality seems to be excellent.....very clean fruit all in part due to the hard work of the Round Barn, Tabor Hill, Free Run crews.....Senor Gregory had a big smile on his face as he entered the vineyards with his pruners this morning
