These cuties are growing like crazy! The chestnut c**t is Pax, by Suntory Gold, out of Primrose by Tradition. He missed a formal introduction last spring.

Message from the universe? I think so! I’ve walked around here day and night for 20+ years. I’m familiar with all the rocks, roots, and uneven ground so was surprised when this showed up on Saturday.

Thank you, Anne! The arena is freshly groomed and ready for a great weekend of riding as our weather slowly improves.

We’re a little backwards here in Arizona! While riders in much of the country spend their summers riding, conditioning, and showing before slowing down for winter, we do the opposite. We slow way, way down for summer—and look forward to getting back into a rhythm as summer ends.

There’s lots to look forward to at Sovereign Farm: horses getting back to work, young horses getting started, and this year’s foals getting their turn in front of the camera.

Check back for updates—and plenty of horse photos!

As temps are slowly dropping, the 'working' horses are slowly brought back in to work while the foals watch, learn and play from their pasture next to the arena🐴

We met the most amazing artist at the 2026 USPC Championships, Darlene Ivey. She did this lovely, stylized watercolor of Phancy based on Addison’s description. She has her princess tiara on with her skull cap and her cross country watch. She’s ready to toss the bucket at you, demanding more feed. She even captured her famous side eye.

Her fine art watercolors were some of the best I’ve seen. She has a very fun collection of items with her images, as well. Give her a look!

What a fantastic start to the 2026 USPC Championships at the Kentucky Summer Horse Trials!

Addison had a perfect turnout inspection, earning five “Exceeds Standards”—an accomplishment she worked incredibly hard for. Yesterday was dressage, and she and Phancy put in a lovely test that reflected all of the time, patience, and dedication they’ve invested this season.

Each competition this year has shown steady growth and improvement, and watching their partnership continue to develop has been amazing. I am so proud of them both. Here’s to enjoying the rest of an unforgettable week at Championships!

Addison and Phancy are all moved into the barn and the 2026 US Pony Club Championship Rally has begun!
