πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“Strawberry Season UpdateπŸ“πŸ“πŸ“

Due to the 5 inches of rain received the other week, our season is coming to an unexpected end a bit earlier than usual. We are grateful for the crop we were able to harvest. We are also grateful for our loyal customers who stuck with us during the season and we hope to see you all again next season.

Today, June 2, will be our last day for pick your own strawberries (7:30-6:30). There will be no pre-picked strawberries available. We will do our best to fill the orders we have for today, however, quantities of berries are limited. We will call you if we are unable to fill your order.

Thank you again to all of our customers and employees. We hope to see you all in July when we open for sweet corn.

Update for Monday, June 1: There will be no pre-picked strawberries available for the remainder of the season. The orders for today will be filled, but no other orders will be taken. Orders already placed for this week will be filled to the best of our ability (we will call you if we are unable to fill your order). We are open for pick your own 7:30-6:30 ($3.89 per pound).

Unfortunately, the rain has caused damage to the crop and we need more time and sunshine to recover. There are berries in the patch, just not as many as normal. We appreciate your understanding as this is out of our control.

Mr. Mayne has been joking for months that he would be following the last tree off the farm this year as he takes a step back from daily operations at the farm and a step toward retirement, however, this tree followed him out! He and his wife, Julie, would like thank family, friends, customers, and employees for their years of support of Mayne's Tree Farm. Happy Retirement to Mehrl and Julie!

The farm is not being sold, Mr. Mayne is passing the reigns to the next generation. He will still be around to keep that generation in line. πŸ˜†
