How long did it take us to process 80 birds this weekend?

5 hours of butchering on Saturday, and about 12 hours of parting out and packaging birds yesterday. That breaks down to about 13 minutes hands on per bird!

We have a bittersweet update for you all. Josiah and Kaylee are no longer going to be mentoring here with us. Sometimes these things just don’t work out, and that’s life!

This also means our workload has increased quite a bit with taking back the chicken operation and the huge amount of new customer orders coming through this month. Thank you all so much for your support and we appreciate your patience as we juggle all the things of life right now!

Our original plan was to sell the farm business and move to Georgia, but God may have us staying here for now. Our hands are open and we’re waiting for the right opportunity! If you know of anybody selling their farm through seller financing or lease to own, please let us know. We’ve been searching for a home and land to expand for a couple of years now and want to see what doors open over here where we have our business and customer support.

We wouldn’t be where we are without all of you supporting us, so thank you so much! The orders, words of encouragement, and prayers all mean so much to us.

Our meat chickens get moved to fresh grass every day where they’re able to eat all the bugs and fresh grass they want! Happy birds taste better 😍

We always hear from people who “don’t eat pork” …except bacon and sausage. There is only about 14lbs of belly bacon on a whole hog. Did you know we can make a breakfast hog with only bacon and sausage?! Don’t like chops? No problem! We can grind them into sausage or smoke them and make loin bacon! Don’t like ham? No problem! We can grind it or smoke it into breakfast ham steaks. Don’t like shoulder? No problem! We can grind it or make smoked cottage bacon. All your smoked trim can then be put into bacon breakfast sausage which is a customer favorite!

The great thing about us being the butcher is we can customize what your family eats and will actually use 🤩
