Is it his obsession with cowboy hats or that he’s stuffed in the little Cushman that make me wonder? Maybe it’s the blinker that he thinks he need to use when driving on our own driveway. 🙄

Have you ever seen a shell-less egg? This happens when your young hens start laying...just the membrane with an intact egg inside. Pretty cool. It can also be a sign of low calcium in the chicken’s diet or some type of disruption during the egg laying process, but this is only the third one out of 20 eggs that has been shell-less.

Turns out these are not a good chrysalis to have. It’s an infestation of evergreen bagworms. Was hoping for some beautiful butterflies. 😕
We FINALLY had no wind at the farm and in a last minute decision to drag out the 100’ caterpillar cover from the barn, I found this little surprise.
Late Start On Bed Prep
Got a little help setting up 100' of silage tarp to prep an area for cut flower beds in the spring. The prior farmer that was leasing the land didn't harvest the soybean until late November. It's a small start, but better late than never.
