The origins of Barrelworks began eight years ago with a few renegade barrels stashed into the voids between pallets of packaged beer in Firestone Walker’s cold storage warehouse. Officially, the program didn’t exist, but it grew quickly and became unruly, and today it numbers upwards of 1,500 barrels. Barrelworks is the next stop on this uncharted journey, opening in January 2013. This 7,000-squar

e-foot facility now houses all of Firestone Walker’s barrel-aged wild beers while also showcasing the brewery’s classic barrel-aged strong ales. Barrelworks features a tasting room and self-guided tours that delve into the history, purpose and methods of making wild beers and other barrel-aged beers. In the words of Barrelworks Director Jeffers Richardson, “This place is truly a ‘padded room’ for brewers and rare beer enthusiasts.”

The beast is back. Parabola returns with a new vintage aged in a rare blend of spirits barrels from Blanton's and W.L. Weller. And this year, it's accompanied by the second-edition of Paraboloid, this time aged for 18 months in 20-year-old Elijah Craig barrels. Parabola is rolling out to markets now, and both beers are available at our three locations and online store. Learn more: https://fal.cn/3wbHa

As rolls on, we're cracking into a Parabajava to celebrate appropriately. A bourbon barrel-aged brew that appeared in our "Best Mates" collection, Parabajava is a variant of our iconic Parabola imperial stout.
