My family LOVES Queso, but.....have you ever seen the ingredients in a block of Velveeta?🤢 Enjoy this healthier version.

Homemade Queso

8oz Cream Cheese
1 can Rotel
1lb Pepperjack Shredded
1/2 cup Sour Cream
3/4 Heavy Cream
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder

Warm Cream Cheese until easy to stir. Add remaining ingredients and
Cook on low or in a crock pot until melted.

On this account you will see it all. The good, the joy, the struggles, the heartache. Many accounts do a wonderful job at showing the joy farming, ranching, homesteading ect. will bring. However, it's not often people are shown the not so Instagram picture perfect struggles that arise. This is our first set of kids for the season. Not the way we wanted to start out and not something we want to happen under any circumstances, but here it is. We pride ourselves on having a herd with strong natural mothering qualities. We don't interfere with the birthing process unless it's a last resort. We allow them to do what God created them to do without the intervention of man. But sometimes as their caretakers they do require our help and it's our responsibility to give it. We didn't get the opportunity to witness this Doe giving birth so we weren't able to assist and this is the unfortunate outcome. There are more struggles that come with this Doe loosing her kids. One will be watching that she doesn't develop mastitis. This will require hand milking her and what a honor to do that for her after what she's been willing to do for us.
