Uber Eats just announced a commission hike📈

Thousands of independent restaurants will see their fees increase again. The Lite tier jumps from 15% to 20%, the Plus tier from 20% to 25%, and 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮 𝟳% 𝗳𝗲𝗲!🤬

But the real story is in Uber One.

Those members account for 60–70% of all orders, and Uber is adding an additional 5% surcharge on those transactions. That means many restaurants on the Plus plan will effectively be paying close to 𝟯𝟬% 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥!!

Together with our partners at SLA Solutions, we proudly presented a $2,000 check to Special Olympics of New York — one of four incredible charities supported through our first-ever Pepper Palooza event.

We’ve worked with Special Olympics before, but this time hit differently — their athletes joined us on-site, volunteering and helping run the event side by side with our team. To see the impact firsthand, to laugh and work together with the very people who benefit from the fundraiser — it was something truly unforgettable.

For a first-year event, this was beyond what we could have imagined — 1,000+ attendees, $8,000 donated, and a community that showed up in full force to make it all possible.
