A couple weeks ago, we drove the pack goats up to Bighorn National Forrest to work on training them to carry packs. These boys can carry up to fifty pounds each and we want to eventually have them be able to carry equipment like yoga mats for our guests. They were really good on our hike that was about four miles. Roger naturally took the lead to show the other two that it was okay and they did a really good job following Katy throughout the hike. This was great exposure for them because we encountered lots of people, horses, and dogs on the trail and they listened very well. We hope to do this more often and if you ever see us on the trail feel free to say hi!

Rylee Standish is our newest wrangler at the TA. She was born and raised in Wyoming, first learning to ride when she was about six years old. Rylee helps lead trail rides and exercises horses, helping Tori with our younger horses and c**t starting. When she is not working she enjoys music-- she can play many different instruments-- and is pursuing nursing school. We are very excited to have Rylee join our team!

Riley Heffron is a wrangler here at the TA. She milks the goats, helps with trail rides and horse care and runs the social media for the ranch. Riley is one of the newer employees since she started in mid May after she graduated college. She is from Northern Virginia and has been working with horses since she was five years old. When she is not working, she loves to read, watch movies, take photos and go thrifting.

On June 8th, we found our little bottle calf in the reservoir pasture at about a day old. Due to how small she was, we decided to call her Sq**rt! Unfortunately, she was not claimed by any of the mama cows so we decided to keep her as our bottle calf. She is a Corriente cow and we would like to ultimately turn her back out with the rest of the herd. Right now, she lives with our goats and has gotten so big! Sq**rt is thriving and one of our favorite parts of the day is going out to feed her and hang out with her.
