Steel Fox Farms

At 20 weeks old one of the girls finally decided to give us our first egg! Pretty sure it’s from the one in the front with the bright red comb. I guess it’s time to give them their nesting boxes. So excited!

🏡 Looking for the Perfect Pet Home – Arizona 🏡

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to find a new home for Arizona.

Arizona is a sweet, friendly Nigerian Dwarf doe with a wonderful personality. She is healthy, easy to handle, and would make a fantastic companion or pet goat.

I want to be completely transparent about why I’m placing her. As she matured, she developed a supernumerary (extra) teat on one side. While it doesn’t affect her health or quality of life, it is considered a structural defect that can be disqualifying under ADGA standards. Because my goal at Steel Fox Farms is to produce quality breeding stock, I’ve decided she is not a doe I want to include in my breeding program.

She is not being sold as breeding stock, and registration papers will not accompany her. I want to ensure complete honesty with her future home and avoid passing along a trait that could potentially be inherited.

She would thrive as:
❤️ A beloved pet
❤️ A companion for another goat
❤️ A brush eater or hobby farm goat

Finding the right home is more important to me than making a sale. If you think Arizona would be a good fit for your family, I’d love to talk.

Mama Lucy is making sure Meadow and Winston learn an important life lesson… grain is life. 🌾😂

The babies are just starting to nibble on grain and hay, and Lucy is leading by example. Although, the way she eats, you’d think every meal was her last! 🤣

Nothing sweeter than watching little ones learn from their mama. ❤️🐐

Did anyone ask me to share our barn setup? Nope. 😂Did I make a video about it anyway? Absolutely.

We put a lot of thought, planning, and research into designing this barn for our girls, and so far it’s working really well for us. Of course, we’re learning as we go, and we know what works today might need to change down the road—and that’s okay! That’s all part of the journey.

So, if you’ve been curious about how we have everything set up, here’s a little barn tour. Enjoy! 🐐🤍
