Gotta love the Muscovy ducks
Here are some interesting things about Muscovy ducks:
-They are a woodland duck, meaning they prefer a shallow pond over a lake.
-They can fly (female and young males) and have sharp claws making them very hardy from predators.
-They are smarter than your average mallard-type duck, in my opinion.
-They lay rich delicious eggs.
-And they are relatively quiet, not quacking like a typical duck, and make a hissing kind of sound.
-In the wild they mate for life.
-Their breed is actually not that of a true duck, they can mate with both mallard type ducks AND geese; the offspring of that cross would be infertile most of the time.

We will be at the flock swap at Tractor Supply in Dunn tomorrow (Saturday 11/9/24) with Muscovy ducks and different Rabbit breeds as we downsize the farm.

Rabbit breeds include: mini rex, lion head, Holland lop.
