I took some time off and now I’m back. Wanted to share my amazing Momma; Minnie, with her babies. She hatched 13 of my Silkie mix eggs. 4 are Showgirls!!!

This guy got a hair cut to be able to see better. He was quite talkative about how much he could see afterwards.

Went to the beach these last three days for some R&R. Left my hubby in charge of all my chickens. He drew the line at putting topical antifungal cream on Eleanor’s behind (vent). Otherwise everyone was still alive and missed me terribly.

It can be heartbreaking being a chicken mom. So many times their little lives don’t last long at all. Despite all our efforts they leave us for chicken heaven. This month has been a very difficult one. RIP my fluffy babies.
