Several weeks ago multiple (free range) dogs broke into our animal area and killed 27 of our young quail and 7 chickens....

Several weeks ago multiple (free range) dogs broke into our animal area and killed 27 of our young quail and 7 chickens. The chickens have been replaced. But the remaining quail are still not back to norm. We are hopeful!

Great time of the year for grilling. Consider meat rabbits or jumbo quail for your next cookout! We love quail in our jalapeño poppers too. And our family cleans the plate when we bring deviled quail eggs to gatherings. They are the perfect bite size appetizer or side dish!

We have Jumbo Coturnix Quail chicks hatching!!! We collected eggs for this incubation for 4 days so we’ll let the hatch continue at least that long. Fun to watch!
