Well new nesting box was a hit! I really do love this girl… she was pretty banged up when I got her, she’s just under a year. She’s given me a few eggs and they keep getting better. And she looks 100 times better from I got her 3 months ago. Check it compared to a spitzhauben egg…

Morning farm dramatics…. Open the back door and hear the farm alarms going off… (farm alarms are Guineas lol) well my female has been MIA, she did this last time she decided to hatch eggs. So I’m like oh that’s 2 alarms where is she and why are they mad. So I go to investigate thinking damn I forgot a weapon so hopefully it’s not serious. Found my male up in a tree loosing his mind, nothing in the area. Trace her noise and she’s across the ditch/canal that is full of water. The grass is high so I can’t see her and I assume she has babies since she’s not flying over. Not real sure how to help her either…. But now all the chickens are on alert thinking a predator is in the area and these 2 haven’t shut up for 30 min now lmao and I realized I haven’t had coffee and it’s too early for this

3 new girls to the flock today…beautiful Olive Egger and 2 cream split to Opal legbars! These girls are going to be amazing additions with my Silverudds! Now to let them settle in and quarantine

So we are changing up our farm a little. We are “closed” for chic sales Unless I buy eggs for hatching to resale. But come spring we have some exciting things happening… the rest of this year is focused on raising up our new projects… we are so excited!!!
