We have made the very difficult decision to not offer any honey this season. I’m so sorry to everyone who has been waiting for the honey. I am beyond disgusted and embarrassed with the situation.

Honey Update: I pulled all the honey off the hives this weekend and I will finish the extraction and bottling today.

We had an extremely disappointing year in terms of honey production. Several factors came together that contributed to that. But the bottom line is that our harvest was down about 90% compared to last year.

With that being said, there will be several folks who wanted honey that will not get any. No one is more disappointed about that than I am. Honey isn’t unlike other crops, in that some years production falls off the cliff. This is one of those years. At this time, I’m holding off on taking orders while I strategize the fairest way to offer what little stock I have. I am considering limiting orders to one jar per person or some other similar limitation in an effort to let as many as people as possible at least get a little bit of honey.

I do know that we will not be doing any of the bears. We will only have quart jars this year.

I would like to apologize to everyone for the my failure to deliver this year. I am sick about it and far more disappointed about the situation than anyone else is.

I will reach out again once I’m ready to start taking order.

Honey Update 6/13/24: I checked on the honey yesterday. It’s still not ready. It will be at least a couple more weeks before it’s ready to harvest.

I’ve had several messages and calls asking if we have honey available yet. We are still about a month out before it’s ready to harvest. We should have the spring honey available in mid June. I’ll post updates as we get closer.
