Folks, what a day today. Ask any food truck owner and they will tell you about the struggles and rewards of the business. And folks, there are real struggles some times. But today, today was more rewarding than most days. Not only did I double book today (thank you Kenny Hudson and Misty Martz Carter for holding down the food truck) with a catering and an event, but we received TWO awesome surprises!

Freedom Day - Tuscarora Dental gave us a completely unexpected award for hometown hero for their event. We have worked with them for the past years with feeding the veterans. Something we do without expectations of acknowledgment. But, they went ahead and gave us this amazing award that we are very humbled to receive. Thank you guys for the award and we will see you next year and years to come!

And when we got home, we found in the mail some very awesome badges and a challenge coin from the Martinsburg Police Department!!! We always feed our first responders for free, or reduced, when they come to the truck. You guys keep us safe and secure when we are at events and it’s the least we could do for you in return. The badges will be proudly displayed in our food truck with the other ones.

Like I said, some days this food truck business really surprises us and makes it all worth it! Thank you all who continue to support us and make it all worth it! We are Dog Gone Grateful to you all!

Folks, tomorrow evening is going to be awesome! What’s going on you ask? Charles Town Now Hip after Six is what’s going on! And, we have the 3-way face-off with our friends Tuckers Pucker with Stoner Dogs Subs and Sammies and Toasted. We will be making our first ever grilled cheese smashed Philly cheese steak pulled pork sandwich with a side of toasted tots and fresh hand squeezed lemonade! (Just kidding!!!).

We will have a brand new special tomorrow, so stay tuned to find out what it will be! And no, it’s not plant based!!!!

See you all tomorrow! Dog Gone Good!
