A Women’s Retreat at Wood Acres
September 26 | 9 AM–1 PM

Chelsie and I have been talking for a while about creating something together that brings both of our worlds into one experience, and Rooted is finally it. 🤍

We’re inviting you to spend the morning with us at Wood Acres—to slow down, step away from the everyday for a few hours, create, enjoy good food and simply spend some time together.

Chelsie will be sharing her love and knowledge of herbs as we create an herbal roll-on perfume and floral bath salts, while I’ll bring in the flower side of Wood Acres with a hands-on floral experience using what the season gives us.

Happy Friday! 🌻

U-Pick officially opens for the season tonight at 5 PM, and our sold-out Beeswax Luminary Workshop begins at 6 PM!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided opening night also needed a 103° heat index. 😅 We’re still on — but please plan accordingly!

🌻 U-Pick: We’ll be open from 5–8 PM, but if you have some flexibility, we highly recommend coming later in the evening as the sun starts to go down. Bring water, take your time, and please don’t feel like you need to brave the hottest part of the evening just to get here at 5. The flowers will still be waiting!

🕯️ Luminary Workshop: Class is still on at 6 PM. We’ll have fans running throughout the barn, along with plenty of iced water and lemonade. If you have a personal neck fan, you’re absolutely welcome to bring it!

And a little fair warning from farm life: our cows and sheep have also decided their fans are non-negotiable right now, so they’ll likely be hanging out in the barn with us. It may be a little louder (and smell a little more like a barn 😂) than usual.

It’s August on the farm — sometimes you just roll with what Mother Nature gives you. ❤️ We’re looking forward to seeing everyone tonight!

When we built our new house, we added a safe room in the basement.

Then I decided it would make the perfect canning room.

And somehow… it has officially become my drying room. 😂🌿

I have big dreams for this little space someday, but for now, it’s been the perfect place to hang and dry everything I’m cutting from the field. There’s something pretty satisfying about seeing the season slowly fill the walls and ceiling.

One more way we’re learning to use every bit of what we grow. 🤎

I absolutely loved our Comfort Colors shirts we had made for camps this summer, and it’s been a while since I’ve opened up a t-shirt order for everyone!

I’m thinking it might be time for a new Wood Acres design 👀🌿

If we get something new going, would you be interested in snagging one? I’m hoping to keep them around $20–$25.

🌻 U-PICK OPENS THIS FRIDAY! 🌻

It’s finally time! Our U-Pick field opens for the season this Friday, August 14th. 💛

U-Pick Options
🌸 $15 - small
🌸 $25 - med
🌸 $40 - large
🌸 $55 - 3 gallon bucket

We provide everything you need to pick — buckets, snips and water. Once you’re finished, we’re happy to wrap your flowers in paper, you can grab one of our donated jars, or bring a favorite vase from home and arrange your flowers before you leave.

Cash, Venmo + card accepted.

🕯️ Also happening Friday: Our Beeswax Luminaries workshop! If you’re registered for the workshop, come a little early or stay late and enjoy the U-Pick field while you’re here.

No reservations are needed for U-Pick. Come wander the rows, cut some flowers and slow down with us for a bit. 🤍

Year 4 of getting to welcome BHCUSD #8 staff back with some gorgeous blooms. 🌸

When Rylee started Pre-K, I made it a priority to use what we grow here at Wood Acres to give back to our schools whenever we can. Four years later, I’m so thankful we’re still able to start the school year this way.

Wishing all of the teachers and staff a wonderful year ahead. We appreciate all you do for our kids and our community! ❤️
