Bunn High School NC FFA Alumni & Supporters

It was my great pleasure, and an honor, to attend the 2024 BHS FFA awards program last evening. I saw a vibrant, alive and well program that had, indeed, risen from the ashes. This semester has proven to be an awakening at Bunn High School to the fact that vocational agriculture classes are wanted and needed by the students. Mann Mullen and I watched as Ms. Johnson, sometimes through tears, recognized those students who have excelled in particular fields; those who have served as officers for this fledgling group; and those who will graduate to move on to higher learning. Indeed, we expect great things from Bunnhs NC Ffa, and know the alumni will step up and answer the challenge to support and assist whenever and wherever needed.

A joint meeting is in the works for later in the year as we prepare for next year, always looking forward and upward. Alumni- stay alert!

A scholarship for a high school senior planning a careeer in agriculture has been established in memory of Matt Whitley by the Franklin County Farm Bureau. Application deadline is May 15.

Contact the Franklin Co. Farm Bureau office at 919-496-2051.

Thanks to all who show you support for BHS FFA and Agricuture by following this page. The young minds that are molded here will be the agricultural leaders of the future.

The turkey shoot and supper were a great success. Thanks to all the students and alumni who put it together in such a short time.
