Ladies, my friend was pulled over on 83 a few night ago right by pleasant home road. It was someone posing as a police officer. He kept trying to coax her out of the vehicle. She reported it and the sheriff told her that it was definitely an abduction attempt. He also said that it has been happening a lot and that these people will target you and follow you for weeks even months to learn your routine and try to catch you alone. THIS IS NO JOKE! BE VIGILANT, OBSERVE YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIME, AND CARRY A GUN! YOUR LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT! DONT BE A VICTIM OF THIS HORRIFIC S**T!

It seems that I've fallen back into the painting world for a while, if anyone would like some interior painting done let me know. Ceilings, trim, doors, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, minor drywall repairs, ect. No exterior at this time, but will eventually be including that as well.

A couple of weeks ago a couple stopped by the farm to purchase some mushrooms. I had never met them before but, they had learned about our mushroom operation from a friend of theirs and were interested in taking a tour of the farm. I was happy to show them around and talk a little about the day to day requirements involved with growing mushrooms. After the tour we stood around for a while, just chatting and getting better acquainted. At some point in our conversation we began talking about hobbies and interests, and the gentleman mentioned that he enjoys building guitars, particularly cigar box guitars. I was pretty surprised to hear this, as I am also very fond of cigar box guitars and have always wanted to build one of my own. I have gone as far as to purchase all the pieces/ parts to build a guitar just the way I wanted it but, alas, I never built the guitar and the idea just drifted over to the FAR back burner.
When the gentleman mentioned his love for building the instruments I immediately remembered that I still had a beautiful, white oak guitar neck that I was likely never going to use. I asked the man if he would like to have it and he said sure! I was happy to be able to give it to someone who actually use it and build it into a beautiful instrument. We chatted a while longer about music and what not, said our goodbyes, and the couple when on their way.

Today I got a call from the man saying that him and his wife were going to be in my area and would like to stop by to show me what he did with the guitar neck. When they got here the gentleman said that he wanted to return my guitar neck… I wasn’t sure what he meant. He said he was giving it back, but he had attached a cigar box to it for me… he walked over to his truck and pulled out this beautiful, custom built, three string guitar just for me! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I was utterly speachless.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if you are coming out to see us at the farmers market tomorrow, we will have 8oz. packages instead of our usual 4oz. packs and they will be $10 a piece. Our president/CEO (me😅) managed to order a 650 count box of the wrong size packages, and since shipping would be over $90 to return them, I opted to just use them.

What’s a few more mushrooms, right? 😉

This is a simple job but it is not easy. The weather wears on you. Most days you will be standing on asphalt or concrete. You may deal with lines of customers at times while you are both the cashier and chef so you must be able to handle stressful situations with a genuine smile on your face. My customers mean everything to me and if I feel you don't serve them with your heart, this will not be the job for you.

The job can be taught. The character I'm looking for can not.

It's a growing business with room for the right people that would like to grow with us, but it is also heavily dependent on the weather so please keep that in mind as it is mostly seasonal until I get the store open.
