I recently had someone ask if I was going to open up my pop-up kitchen again. They had a special request meal, so this coming Friday, April 19th from 4:00 -7:00 I will be starting “Mama G’s” up again; serving up both Fettucine Alfredo and Chicken Fettucine for pick up!

I’m taking time away from “Mama G’s” but will be in the kitchen for the “season of giving” instead. I’m bringing “Eats For The Streets” back this month because the rise in homelessness is growing. Just a few blocks from here in Burien they are building pallet shelter camp. The folks we served in the S**o district were shooed away for the All Star game this past summer, but many are back in their areas again now that the city doesn’t need to pretend our city is perfect to the rest of the world. 😉🫤

From spending nearly two years feeding these folks, I know that a gesture of a really tasty hot meal, a dry pair of socks, or a $5 fleece blanket, and most importantly a smile and hug means everything to these people. It’s a small way that WE can collectively positively impact our community. Every dollar, pair of socks, or donation of any kind will help. ❤️

Greetings! Back to “business as usual” here on 2nd Avenue, as Brittnee and Michael (my “kids”) flew back to SoCal last night after their surprise trip up.

This Friday I’ll be cooking up my version of a Mexican menu favorite of mine; Chicken Mexican with homemade rice and refried beans. (Similar to the blurred picture here, to give you an idea since I don’t have a good photo of mine). Pieces of chicken breast sautéed in a stewed tomato sauce, with onions and mild peppers and topped with Monterey Jack and Mexican cheeses. The usual $10/plate. Served from 3:30- 7:00. Happy and Blessing-filled Thanksgiving to All!! You probably figured out by now that I’m not cooking this week! I had intended on it, but received a fabulous surprise earlier this week! My two other kids (Brittnee and Michael) were sneaky, plotted with Steffen, and flew up here from SoCal for the holiday week! If you know me, you know my kids always come first. I will be back in the kitchen next week (not sure what the meal will be yet). Enjoy your time with family and friends. Holiday cheer to everyone! 🧡❤️💚

Friends and Fam! 🌻 This week is one of my favorites to make (and eat)!! “French Dip Sandwiches”!

I made this for dinner tonight to give you all a glimpse via a picture as to what yours will be like if you order for this Friday! See the picture in this post.

I make ‘em with a healthy portion of deli style roast beef and melted cheddar on fresh-made toasted garlic French bread with au jus and a horseradish sauce included on the side. Comes with a scoop of house made potato salad.

The usual drill; comment below or text 206-890-6301 to get your orders in; Who/How Many/What time for pick up (3:00pm-7:00pm).

I can only purchase enough ingredients for the amount of orders I have by Thursday morning 11:00 a.m. That is when I will do my final shopping for this week’s meal. Thanks everyone and blessings for a great rest of your week!

Also; Last week I accidentally ordered the wrong size containers, so I’m going to start using them by assembling some meals for our local Street Peeps, distributing them like we did for Eats For The Streets! If you would like to sponsor a meal to be handed out, any amount $$ will help. If not for this week, perhaps consider it for a future week. As the weather gets colder, a hot meal is truly appreciated by our Street Friends. Thank you! 😇
