We'd like to set the record straight: Lavish Roots is NOT closing its doors.
What is actually happening is a planned and positive transition. One of our largest and longest-standing clients has experienced incredible growth — growth that has now outpaced what any local vendor can support. As a result, they are transitioning to a global vendor to meet their expanding needs. This is a testament to the work we did together, not a sign of our decline.
We remain proud partners with this client and are deeply grateful for the opportunity they gave us to grow Lavish Roots into what it is today. As for the employees directly supporting this contract, we want to be clear: they are not being abandoned. Lavish Roots and the incoming vendor are working together to ensure a seamless transition so that every team member moves into the new contract without a gap in service or a loss of income. These are not layoffs in the traditional sense — they are a supported handoff.
But here's the bigger story: Lavish Roots is not just staying open — we are expanding.
For nearly a decade, our focus on serving this major client meant we couldn't fully show up for the broader community the way we always wanted to. That changes now. We are growing our services and our footprint across the greater Seattle area, and we are excited to announce new ventures including:
• Retail cafes
• Senior services
• A deli partnership at Pike Place Market
• A potential restaurant on the horizon
As we approach our 12th anniversary this year, we are grateful for your continued support and could not be more excited about what is ahead. Lavish Roots is here to stay, and we look forward to serving you!
