We have three smaller free-range bourbon turkeys left. 7-9 pound birds. $8/ #. Yes, we know how cheap turkeys are at Walmart. Pasture-raised poultry are not pen-raised. We pay more for them as poults and have to deal with death loss from predators and dumb turkey antics.

Rhudy Livestock has pork! We have a limited amount (half a hog worth) testing the waters on once again carrying pork.

From picture A to picture B and in the freezer in just a few hours. The three of us processed 15 broilers today. If anyone wants homeraised and processed chicken, we have them from 5 # to 8 # (they got a bit big on us). $5/ # for some of the best chicken you'll ever have. I have one on the grill right now. Yes, we know it's a lot cheaper in the grocery store. We're not selling large-scale production poultry. Plus, we eat it ourselves, so if it doesn't sell, we're ok with that.

I'm on the way back from Washington County Meats with our USDA-inspected beef. If anyone wants burger, I'll meet in tazewell in an hour or so. $6/ #.

Rhudy Livestock has beef! Actually, the two steers we had processed belong to our Feral Ranch Girl. She raised them both from bottle calves. So, the beef you buy this time belongs to a ten year old entrepreneur. Yes, we help her, but she buys her own livestock with her own money (from birthdays, holidays, egg sales, and many other activities). Prices are as follows and by the pound.

The photo is of the Feral Ranch Girl sorting her cow, Cora and bull (now steer) calf. She sorted off several cows all by herself and was amazing help when we worked calves last week.

Turkey customers,

We keep having things go awry when we have processing planned. If we can't do it over the weekend (and it's highly doubtful since Wifey works), we are definitely processing Tuesday. If you want to pick up Tuesday evening or meet Wednesday, we won't freeze them, just chill well and refrigerate. We apologize for the inconvenience and delays.
