This bull is one to watch whether you choose to show him or turn him out in the pasture. MAGA is 16 months old, started on a halter, gentle, and structurally sound as a cat. Sired by KK Swagger's Outerbanks, 2023 National Junior Santa Gertrudis Show Grand Champion bull, MAGA is showing the same expressive traits that have pushed his sire to the top. Our hearts are full here at Down The Line Farms! What an incredible time at the 75th Annual Santa Gertrudis Breeders International Meeting.

We loved reconnecting with dear friends, meeting fellow breeders, and building new relationships that have already turned into some exciting partnerships for 2026–2027. We can’t wait to share more of what we’ve been working on this past year!

A special highlight for us was watching our very own little cowboy, Troy James Maslonka, officially become a junior member this week. What an exciting step! He truly made an impression and had no trouble winning the hearts of some very important folks in the industry! We couldn’t be more proud of his confidence and ability to network at such a young age.

We also gained valuable insight into the rich history of the Santa Gertrudis breed by touring the King Ranch and the San Jose Cattle Co, the advancements in genetics, and the vision for the future of this breed. It’s an exciting time to be part of this community, and we’re grateful to be along for the ride!

Today TEXANS are stocking up on bread, milk, water, food, TP, ect prepping for the Arctic Blast (Texas Winter) this weekend like it’s Covid 2.0 Shelves are bare in some stores. Its craziness!

Meanwhile The Santa Gertrudis FarmHER’s are hitting the gyms, getting their workouts and steps in, stocking up on Coastal & Alfalfa, winterizing their farms, feeding their cattle, AND illegally parking to RUN 🏃‍♀️ thru the rain ☔️ to BARN 3 at the FWSSR 🐮 to meet Mr. Kubecka and pick up their shipment of Heavenly Rebecca Tallow Co. and Heavenly Wellness Co. supplements so we can protect our beautiful faces and soften our chapped/cracked hands from being out working in the elements! ❄️ 🧊 ☔️ 🙌🏼 💋
