🏕️ Your kids will love this! Russell Farm Art Center is hosting the popular Far Out Family Campout on November 7-8. Bring your own tent and lawn chairs, and we’ll bring the fun. Let’s make some family memories under the stars. The overnight event kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday and wraps up at 8 a.m. on Sunday at Russell Farm Art Center.

Cost: $30 pre-registration, $35 day of (per family of 5)

🎨 Join us for a relaxed morning of sips, snacks, and sketching! Community Sketch Group meets every Saturday at Russell Farm Art Center. Follow our weekly theme or explore whatever art calls to you. Bring your favorite supplies and treats if you’d like—basic sketch materials, bottomless coffee, and light snacks are provided. Free and open to adults and families. Come and go anytime between 9 a.m. and noon, only at Russell Farm!

🥞🎅 Start your holiday season with a little Christmas magic by joining us for our annual Breakfast with Santa! Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast, create festive holiday crafts, and spend some time with the man in red himself. Don’t forget your camera to capture those special Santa moments!

Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early. Guests will select a 30-minute start time, with the first time slot beginning at 7 a.m.

Quilting has brought communities together for generations, and our heritage skills workshop proved that tradition is alive and well right here in Burleson! 🧵

Our community members gathered at the Russell Farm Art Center to learn the art of quilting from start to finish. Whether they’d picked up a needle before or not, everyone left with new skills, a finished project, and a few new friends. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to our instructors for guiding each step along the way.

We can’t wait to see what you stitch next!

Our Parks team has officially kicked off work on the grant-funded enhancement project at Charlie’s Wildscape at Russell Farm Art Center. Staff have been hard at work preparing the site and trail improvements have been initiated with new native plants officially in the ground! Removing excess brush and overgrown vegetation helps reduce potential wildfire fuel, improve trail access, and make room for native plants to establish and thrive. In combination with the new plantings, these improvements will provide a valuable habitat for wildlife while creating an inviting space for the community to connect with nature and learn about native plants, water conservation and sustainable landscaping.

The project continues on Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. with our Texas Arbor Day celebration, when we will plant native trees to expand the tree trail and enhance the Wildscape. Volunteers are welcome to come help us plant the next generation of Russell Farm’s trees.

Thank you to our grant sponsor, Tarrant Regional Water District – Save Tarrant Water, for funding the native plants, trees, two rain barrels, and six Go N Grow pollinator boxes that made these habitat improvements possible.

This is an early step in the Wildscape’s next chapter and there’s more to come! As our new plants take root and mature and the seasons change, we invite you to watch the space grow with us.

The word of the day for six Burleson Independent School District elementary schools today was "agriculture" 🐄🐖🥦🫛

Students from STEAM Academy at Stribling Elementary, Judy Hajek Elementary, Academy of the Arts at Bransom Elementary, Norwood Environmental Science Academy and The Academy of Leadership & Technology at Mound Elementary spent their morning and afternoon at Russell Farm Art Center learning where their food comes from and the important role agriculture plays in our daily lives.

🍂 Celebrate all things Fall with fun activities including a hayride, petting donkeys, fall arts & crafts, games, live music, and more! ⚒️ Woodcarving will have a dedicated area during Fall Fest at the Farm, giving guests an opportunity to watch live demonstrations, learn more about the craft and experience an art form with deep roots at Russell Farm Art Center. This is a free event and no registration is required.
