Issue No. 24 of The Tasting Room is out today, and there’s a lot going on.

This week: the has been on Center Street so long that Burlington sometimes forgets to appreciate it. We went on a whim recently and were reminded fast that a place doesn’t stay open that long by accident.

In Tastemakers this week: , who bought Vermont’s largest craft beer, wine, and spirits shop from her parents in 2003 and is celebrating 40 years at the this year. She’ll also tell you about the customer request she still can’t think about without making a face.

Sunday at 6:30 p.m. is your last chance to join us for the second Champlain Dinner Club…and this one is going to be really good!

On Tuesday night, 61 (and counting) local food lovers are heading out to Winooski and the Old North End. You won’t know exactly where you’re going until Tuesday morning. And you won’t know who you’re sitting with until you get there. That’s kind of the point.

For your $15.95 reservation fee, you’re matched with a table of strangers who love good food as much as you do. Dinner and drinks are on you. The conversation, the connections, and the evening you’re bound to remember…that’s on us!

The deadline to register is Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Year after year, you’ve helped nominate us for the “Seven Daysies” Awards… and we don’t take that lightly.

We haven’t taken home the win (yet)… but being in the mix with Vermont’s best is something we’re proud of.

🎉 Today we’re wishing a very Happy Birthday to our extraordinary Volunteer Coordinator, Hunter Colvin!

For 10 years (yes…ten!), Hunter has been the steady hand behind one of the most important parts of Burlington Wine & Food…our volunteers. She recruits, organizes, trains, and oversees 80+ incredible volunteers every year, making sure countless moving pieces come together seamlessly.

If you’ve ever had a smooth check-in, helpful direction, or a great experience with one of our volunteers, chances are you have Hunter to thank.

We are endlessly grateful for her dedication, leadership, and calm-under-pressure energy. Hope her day is as great as the impact she makes on this event and community! 🍷
