We grow 30+ different vegetables for direct sales and some retail sales. Which means I do things the old fashioned way, I welcome everyone to live together in the garden and encourage the diversity that beneficial insects bring and the small amount of damage that the bad guys bring. We grow flowers and cover crops, and some field crops on 2 acres. The gardens and field are no to min till. The grai
n will be used for animal feed for chickens, goats, and highland beef cattle as well as a small bunch of pigs come spring. We are involved in a co-op with two other small farms like ours where the grain will go and the manure comes back to fertilize the gardens and field. It works great and we get a bigger diversity of products from the partnership, not to mention a great education on other production procedures, like collecting eggs and milking goats. It is a great life style, we would love you to come out and see it all in action.
