Vermont native and Master Sommelier David Keck is crafting some exciting wines in our little state. After teaching a Court of Master Sommeliers Intro. Course in Burlington in 2020, David realized it was time to come home. In a serendipitous turn of events, the vineyard at Boyden Valley became available for lease that year, so the plans to plant and began and Stella14 was born.

The Stella XIV Nostos is Frontenac Blanc from Boyden. Some notes from David on this wine, "Frontenac Blanc is prone to oxidation and despite working non-oxidatively with it, I add 17ppm SO2 at racking to keep it buttoned up. Nostos is the Greek term for a homecoming after trials (the Odyssey being the classic example), which seemed appropriate for a return to Vermont after 12 years in Houston."

John McCarroll came to Vermont on assignment from Wine Enthusiast — he listed the Nostos as one of his ‘bottles to look for'. He also said, "From Master Sommelier-turned-winemaker David Keck, this gorgeous single vineyard Frontenac Blanc tastes like a Proustian reverie of ouillé Jura Chardonnay. Stunning."

We are so happy to be representing these wines here in VT!

Mary Taylor is an innovative importer, she's sourcing wines that are small-production and regionally focused. Mary Taylor’s philosophy is to emphasize the importance of place in winemaking. This is an incredibly effortless way to try wine from different regions and with modest pricing, it's so easy to explore.

This Anjou Blanc is sourced from vineyards that fall exactly along the border of the two sub-regions of Anjou, this gorgeously subtle white from fourth-generation winemaker Pascal Biotteau comes from the village of Saint-Jean-de-Mauvrets, situated on the old Roman road from Angers to Poitiers.

This is a Chenin Blanc of beautiful complexity. Deeply aromatic with notes of quince, golden apple, orange blossom, beeswax, and lemon zest. Lovely floral notes of chamomile tea and honeysuckle add to the classic Chenin profile. It's a real charmer.

The Champart’s Vin de Pays Rouge is a unique beast. It’s made principally from Cabernet Franc vines within the Saint-Chinian appellation (which is not permitted by the appellation cops). It grabs your attention from the first pour with its dark, purple robe, then keeps you focused with a full, spicy Cab Franc nose. The palate is terroir-driven, loaded with stones and earth, the fruit is ripe and smooth, and the finish is pure spice, with lingering perfumes of roses, plums, and berries… a singularly delicious creation.

The Champarts have made significant changes to their business over the years. While the domaine started from just a simple, humble, stone farmhouse, they later added a winery and have expanded the holdings from eight to twenty-five hectares (sixteen of which are consecrated to vineyards, the remaining nine to arable crops and orchards). The terroir here is a patchwork of soils: steep slopes of clay and limestone (Mourvèdre), brightly colored marl (Carignan & Syrah), limestone (Syrah & Grenache) and lower slopes of clay and sandstone (Cabernet Franc). They live among their old vines on a gentle slope and have slowly started integrating more organic practices into their farming.

The Bonny Doon Vineyard Le Cigare Blanc is a salty little number. Vermentino from California's Central Coast, grapes were picked early to preserve acidity, then lightly pressed, with the juice settling for 3 days. The juice was then fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees (spent yeast) for 4 months. Malolactic fermentation was prevented to preserve the wine’s natural acidity.

"The nose on this bottling is very brisk and tightly woven, offering aromas of lime-soaked gravel, Asian pear and white blossoms. The palate is zippy with acidity and chalky in texture, with honeydew and slightly riper pear flavors." 93 Points Wine Enthusiast

The Sea Pearl Sauvignon Blanc was crafted from vineyards across Marlborough’s sub-region of Awatere Valley. The fruit was carefully monitored throughout maturity and was harvested upon reaching optimum flavor development and ripeness. Transported to the winery immediately and pressed off with minimal skin contact, the resulting juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and aromatics. The resulting Sea Pearl Sauvignon Blanc is full of fresh aromas and classic Marlborough flavors of citrus, gooseberries and flinty mineral notes typical of Awatere Valley.

AROMAS: Pungent aromas of sweet grass, nettles, blackcurrants and gooseberries, backed up by fresh zesty lime characters.
FLAVOR: The palate is light-bodied, which builds up and ends on a long, fine and appetizing mineral finish with undertones of ripe greens, gooseberry and currants.

Tuscany has had a love affair with the Sangiovese based blends for centuries. While Sangiovese is planted all over central Italy, it reaches its highest highs in Tuscany. The Scarpetta Frico Sangiovese Rosso is based on a blend of 90% Sangiovese and small amounts of the indigenous grapes Canialolo, Ciliegiolo, and Colorino. This is the perfect balance of crisp tart cherry and the wonderful herb notes found in great Tuscan red wine. Frico pairs extremely well with grilled meats, hard cheeses and salami.

True to Italian traditions, part of everyday meals include drinking good wine, great conversation, and little moments of celebration. Scarpetta was created as an homage to this lifestyle. Scarpetta refers to a small piece of bread used to soak up the last bit of delicious sauce on your plate that you can't possibly leave behind.

Verdeca is the best known and most widespread indigenous white grape of Puglia, probably of Greek origin, during the colonization of Magna Graecia, or Portuguese, considering the similarities with the Portuguese Alvarinho. Bunches, even at the peak of ripeness, have a strong green color, hence the name Verdeca. In the area of Valle d'Itria, Verdeca best expresses its characteristics, acidity, freshness and sapidity, thanks to the calcareous-rocky soils and the excellent temperature range that the terroir offers.

I Pastini Faraone is made from 100% Verdeca grapes. It shows a straw yellow color with evident greenish reflections. Herbaceous aromas are clearly perceived by the nose, it is intense, delicate and floral, with a dry and crisp taste. This wine is particularly suited for fish dishes, shellfishes and seafood.

The Giacomo Fenocchio estate can be traced back to 1840, when the family uprooted from the comune of Dogliani and resettled in Monforte d’Alba inside a nascent wine zone that would come to be demarcated as Barolo. Officially founding the winery in 1864, the family amassed holdings in the historic Bussia vineyard of Monforte. A century later, in 1964, Giacomo Fenocchio assumed control, expanding the winery’s holdings while consistently refining his craft each vintage. Today, fifth-generation winemaker Claudio Fenocchio carries on his late father’s legacy, bottling five estate Baroli that have reached cult status in recent years.

Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo DOCG
Dark aromas of graphite, potpourri, smoke, bergamot and dried cherries. Firm tannins on the palate, with a full body, a dusty texture, refreshing acidity and a powerful finish. Extracted, meaty, concentrated and balanced for the long haul, with an amazing minty aftertaste.

The Angels & Cowboys Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc has a pungent and expressive nose offering lime zest and floral notes of elderflower and acacia. Lively citrus carries through the palate, with waves of mandarin giving way to white peach and tangy gooseberry—hallmarks of Clone 1. Vibrant acidity and a savory sea-spray minerality add depth, enhanced by a small inclusion of Clone 376, prized for its ability to express site character. This wine has received 90 Points from James Suckling!

Western Sonoma County’s fog-kissed hills and winding backroads—home to a network of multigenerational family farms—set the tone for vibrant, refreshing, true-to-place Sauvignon Blanc. A natural balance of sunshine and cool coastal breezes brings out vivid flavors, while longtime grower partners farm with deep knowledge of each site, capturing the character of this special landscape in every berry. The 2025 vintage delivered mild conditions that delayed ripening and pushed harvest later than usual. Mid-season rains required close attention, but returning sunshine restored the canopies and fully ripened the golden-green clusters, yielding fruit in excellent condition.
