Happy Spring!! It’s been a minute! Wanted to give a farm update. We had near total colony collapse at the end of 2024 of our bee hives due to combination of drought & mites invading Texas. We spent all last year rebuilding our hives!

At the moment we have 13 very healthy, active honey bee hives. We always seed a LOT of poppies on the farm - they bloom earlier than almost anything and provide food after a long winter with little forage.
With all the recent rain to aid the wildflowers, we’re hoping for a good honey harvest this year!

Hi everyone! I’ll be posting a farm report later this week - lots to talk about - but for now just wanted to put in a vote for the amazing seafood from our friends at Savory Alaska. I made shrimp and grits tonight with their Alaskan spot prawns and they have such a sweet and clean flavor! Made some garlic cheese grits and sautéed veggies to go with and yep, that’s a GOOD dinner! 😋😋

Our last day at market for the year is this Saturday, Nov. 16th! We will have this ONE LAST MARKET with our handmade Meyer Lemon Curd and all our other handmade jams, preserves & pickles, and of course our raw honey from our own bee hives! (🎀Holiday gifting made easy with these unique items!🎀)
If you'd like to buy more than 1-2 jars of lemon curd, please PM me for a special order so I have enough for you! (Last week I made and brought 25 jars and sold out in 1 1/2 hours!).
