Hello friends of Hairston Creek Farm! If you don’t already, please go give me (former Hairston Creek farmer, Hannah) a follow at my business page Han-Can

During my time at Hairston Creek, I learned SO much about farming, but I learned even more about preserving the bounty of the seasons. I also befriended a slew of farmers who don’t have time to do such themselves, so I am doing my best to be a resource to them when they find themselves with too many tiny beets, ugly carrots, or blemished radishes.

Though the farm itself is no more, I hope that part of its legacy will live on in my products that were very much inspired by the late Sarah Rowland’s influence.

You can order my products at han-can.com for pickup in NE Austin or delivery in the Austin area.

Heirloom “Calabacita” or Tatume squash grown from seeds. Picked young it can be cooked like zucchini/yellow squash but has better flavor & firmer texture. We’ll leave some on the vine to mature into a golden hued “winter squash” that can be cooked like spaghetti squash.
