Priceless Farms Designer is really coming along nicely in development. I love her markings so far. She of course has a lot to be desired in alignment and ridges. But this program is going the right direction. Her coat length is where I want it, and the head furnishings are drastically improving.

She will be moving to a program that has an established Abyssinian Cal Pattern going now.

Priceless Farms Ellie (TSW American) had her litter tonight while I cleaned their pen. She's an old pro, she literally laid on her side and pushed them two out almost one right after the other. Had them out and clean in under 25 minutes. She's one of our biggest pigs here. She's 3 pounds when not pregnant. She's from our Cuy lines.

Sire is Giddy Pigs Sir Oinks-alot (Red and White Broken American) Oinks has been doing great with helping on patching, but this TSW sow just didn't get enough red. I still like her "a-lot". Might have to keep her around.

Priceless Farms Primrose (Self Red Aby) had her first litter today. Success it looks like and better yet if my eyes don't deceive me, all girls! A rare find.

Sire is Chaotic Cavies Apple (Black Point Red Abyssinian). He has been doing great with dark reds lately. I'm impressed with the color on most of these girls and it looks like three may be Cal. Now watching the alignment!

We are adding this Dark Eye Gold and White Broken American sow as a effort to make out American Brokens bigger. She's a young gal yet but comes from Cuy ancestory.

Diya wanted to caller Mayhem, but I am over-riding that and calling her Maybe. Maybe she will like me, Maybe not.

One of the newborn roan babies isn't doing great because he's so small and he competes against 5 others for the two moms. Since we have them in such a large community cage he has to run with the group in order to get a chance to nurse and we noticed he's not keeping up and being left in corners. So we have decided to help supplement feed.

We use goat milk with probiotics and it seems to work well for our pups. He already had colostrum likely so we don't add it.

I was meaning to do a video for a while on syringe feeding. There's no BEST way to feed pups. I think it depends on what you're comfortable with doing. Back decades ago when I started breeding cavies there was no ni***es designed for these small creatures they didn't cost an arm and a leg. So this seemed to work the best for me. Since I usually have a very good outcome and survival rate I haven't really changed my technique.

Also, this baby is likely nursing and still has the ability to nurse so the formula we are feeding is not that of what we feed ones that cannot nurse or if we don't have a nursing mom for them.

The recent delivery this morning set her cage partner off. So we have two litters tonight by the same sire. I'm please with this trio too.

PF Nirvana (Black Roan Abyssinian) had her litter about an hour ago. It was a long delayed labor and kids looked like they had it rough, but all three seem to be ok. So far Mom seems to want to be mom to all 6 new babies. Might have to separate her.

Sire to this litter is also Hubnick's Longmont (Brindle Abyssinian). He's doing a great job so far I think.

cute new litter born this afternoon. The rain must have set her off.

Frontline Paprika (Self Red Aby) who's sire was PF Harold. Had her first litter today. She did really well for a first time mommy. Nice trio.

Sire is Hubnick's Longmont ( Brindle Aby ) his first litter here as well. Two look promising.
