We will have your standard pulled pork sammies Saturday, blueberry muffins with a light snack for the early birds, a few racks of baby back ribs and a huge hit at our house, Cowboy Rice. Cowboy Rice is like the fried rice you love at the Asian restaurant but with all the TexMex flavors you always wanted. First time bringing this choice to the market and another first will be smoked Wisconsin cheese curds. You won't want to miss first farmer's market of 2026.

Happy Veterans Day to all. Our own FatHead turned 250 years old yesterday and thanks you for your service as well.

There's still time to place your order for a pecan & oak smoked turkey for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Price depends on size and prep instructions. We'll also smoke your own turkey if so desired.

Don’t forget—Farmers & Artisan Market at the Pavilion is this SATURDAY, SEPT 6TH from 10–2! It’s typically the first Saturday of the month and a great chance to support local vendors and see what’s new.

Word is a local fella will be serving up BBQ, an Asian/Tex-Mex fried rice twist, and maybe even some street tacos or quesadillas. Watermelon smoothies if you’re lucky!

We’ve had his food plenty of times and can vouch for it (though we’ll admit—we’re a little biased). FatHead Phil’s never disappoints. ✨ Pop-up eats. To-go treats.

Got a new toy this week and we're doing dinner. All locally sourced ingredients where possible, this square pie has fresh minced garlic, red onion, basil, fennel, artichoke hearts and diced black olive under the bed of cheese. Smoked Burton Sausage company sausage & bacon on top along with fresh Roma slices and jalapeno on my side.

Sometimes the best stuff you make isn't even well planned.

That's a smoked salmon burger and last minute I opted for a slaw topping. Didn't have any cabbage on hand so I did spinach, cilantro, garlic, red onion, with Duke's mayo, tiger sauce (which is insane on seafood but good no matter) and fresh crushed red and black pepper. I was not planning to use the slaw on mine because the tiger sauce is loaded with sugar (and I'm low carb) but it was so intense, I didn't want to miss out.

That was great but last night's fresh caught cod (no pic) was even better. The cod was good by itself but I also made a creamy shrimp topper that elevated it into the stratosphere. Sorry for the tease but we ate it before a picture even crossed my mind.
